Last week, the pop-punk band Offspring used their official profiles to announce the release of "Come To Brazil," the third single from their upcoming album, Supercharged . The single is a tribute to Brazil and will be available for listening this Friday the 13th.
The song title is a direct reference to a phrase commonly used by Brazilian fans on social media to request artists to come to the country. In reference to this, the announcement video used several comments from Brazilian fans mentioning the country with a snippet of the song playing in the background. Check it out:
In addition to that, the band released another post referencing Brazil: the country's flag with the Offspring logo in the center, making fans even more excited about the upcoming release.
In an interview with the Finnish magazine Chaoszine in June of this year, iconic guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman stated that “Come To Brazil” has a thrash metal feel and confirmed it to be the heaviest song on the new album. “We have a lot of heavy punk rock songs, but this is definitely one of the heaviest,” he said.
Supercharged
Announced in July of this year, Supercharged is the eleventh studio album by The Offspring, who will celebrate 40 years in the music industry in 2024. Scheduled for release on October 11th, the album is considered by vocalist Bryan “Dexter” Holland to be one of their best works.
